Introduction

Béla Kárpáti - architect, artist - was born in Kaposvár in 1962.
As an architect he has made the plans of a number of public and industrial buildings, and homes. Besides his designing work, his interest in co-arts led him towards fine arts.
His creed is that a picture, a sculpture, a composition, or an architectural work of art is worth something if it touches everybody's soul. The expression of the mind in an architectural work, music, literature or fine arts starts associations in human ideas, such ideas that appear before our inner eyes and stimulate our subconscious ego. After his early figurative pictures and graphics, he turned towards abstract expressionism in which he found this world.
He creates with a color field painting method and with its characteristics he expresses his range of emotions in his pictures suggesting a kind of state of mind. Composing colours and tones releases strange vibrations and these resonances affect our inner world.
